FATBIKE TOUR
BOOK FATBIKE TOUR

Do you fancy a ride along the beach, stopping for a brew-up then this is for you. Enjoy a ride along 6 1/2 miles of beach, possibly watching the sunset across the Atlantic. Does the thought of too many hills put you off trying a guided bike tour? Would you prefer rides along tracks, beaches or quiet country roads?

Would you like to learn more about Islay's wildlife and natural environment? Or perhaps a ride to look for otters learning about thier habitat and lifestyle.

If you answered yes to any of the above and are looking for a unique experience that can be lots of fun, for cyclists of all abilities, then join FatBike Islay for an adventure by fatbikes.

Although our tours cater for most needs, you might have an idea that you want help to arrange. Give us a call and we will do our best to provide the best we can.
Why not combine a fatbike tour with specifically trying to find the elusive otter around our shores.
Perhaps your passion is photography, there are plenty of great photo oppertunities on the tours.  We will go to a variety of locations which offer excellent potential of great photos of the local flora, fauna and wildlife. Bring your own equipment and if you prefer your own food and water to keep you going!
With photography in mind, why not arrange a sunset FatBike ride to enjoy, hopefully!, the amazing sunsets from along the big strand beach or even the American monument.

Considering Wildlife;
Respecting nature is important to Explore Wild Islay. All our routes and activities take into account and respect our natural environment whilst minimising our impact as much as possible. For example, with the large and varied bird populations Islay has important nesting sites which will be avoided during the breading season. Otter watching is also carried out with minimal disturbance to these wonderful animals in their natural habitat. I regularly liaise with RSPB and seek their guidance on these matters.
We also do our bit to protect nature by encouraging #trashfreetrails
